Excavation
at Wade lock (21W) at the other end of Uppermill early in 2000 soon
reveals the original stone arch of the bridge.

later photograph showing the shuttering in place to support the reconstruction
of the arch. The lock chamber has been cleared and the side walls are
being repaired.
